How to Reject a Rejection Letter

I’ve started shopping my gospel book around to various publishers, and that means that I’ve also started receiving rejection letters. The system has been rather neatly arranged so that you always hear the bad news first. Granted, that only works out well if you ever actually receive any good news.

Anyway, I’m sure you’ll understand why this letter jumped out at me. If you’re facing rejection of any kind, I’m sure you’ll appreciate it too.

This gave me a good laugh. Thanks for this. I’m starting to look for full-time opportunities so I will file this one away if you don’t mind.

Please let me know who all have rejected your manuscript so that I can officially embargo their pathetic publishing concerns.

Thanks for watching my back! Maybe I’ll wait until I have the complete list of recalcitrant publishers. That way we’ll know if we’re dealing with a global conspiracy or just a few misled souls.

Fair enough: let’s see the whole list after all is said and done. However, I can already tell you that clearly there is a global conspiracy involved, the details of which we will have to uncover with the utmost care lest the Opus Dei and their albino monks come after us too soon.

Esteban, it is a common mistake to think that Opus Dei has albino monks ready to do their bidding. This is because of the writings of Dan Brown. Opus Dei primarily relies on leucistic monks to do their bidding. I hope this helps. ;)
