I couldn’t resist this one. You may have heard that a man was pulled over in New York the other day with a live cat marinating in his trunk. Well, Slate.com today engages the pressing question of whether filleting your feline is against the law. And, the answer is…maybe. In New York, apparently it’s illegal to butcher a cat for consumption, but may not actually be illegal to eat said cat. Interesting loophole. Laws in other states vary. So, if you’re considering the possibility of doing harm to that rodent your neighbor insists is a cat, check out the local ordinances first.
